We ended up giving around 20 Units to get a significant BG change. I don't know if was because of dropping bg, But I certainly felt the 1 unit per year of age was conservative!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-445458241993622842.post-23095235408478833232011-10-13T00:25:03.071-07:002011-10-13T00:25:03.071-07:00I am so glad that it worked out but that would hav...I am so glad that it worked out but that would have been so stressful.
Glucagon only works by releases the stores of glucose in the liver. And he usually can't hold down food or drink after, so it's always a roller coaster for about 6-8 hrs post-glucagon. As a result, I don't even bother with the mini-shots anymore, I just give the full dose and correct once his bg levels stablize.

I'd love to compare with other parents and see how they deal with the gluco-coaster...Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00559881532922745862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-445458241993622842.post-31053154781041773872011-07-26T07:22:00.822-07:002011-07-26T07:22:00.822-07:00I know exactly what you mean about the answering s...I know exactly what you mean about the answering system!!!!
